Well it is time to move on to something productive. I am trying to catch up with my Tuesday Challenges of Found Round and About and this happens to be Transfixed - held motionless by.

Well I have to say that I was transfixed when I saw the photograph of this little girl and knew that I had to draw her. Understand that I had only drawn one other portrait 18 x 24 IN a drawing class! So when I showed my teacher what I had started on my own she asked me, "Why didn't you choose something complicated?"

Truthfully I knew it was complicated but I was so transfixed with her that I knew in my heart I had to try. Here she is "In The Light" with her beautiful damp curls looking out the window! I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy making it!  This piece is hanging in Killaby Fine Art Studio and Gallery at 110 E Hubbard St., Lindale, TX.
