I have been working on this flower off and on for a year so I finally finished the painting! I started it in a colored pencil class taught by Maureen Killaby but because I work slowly I did not finish the painting by the end of the class. When I was at home I got other ideas for paintings so the flower got put on the back burner, I am often like that, push things to the back burner then pick them up later to finish.

Truthfully I enjoy graphite drawing as much as I enjoy colored pencil because both media stretch my capabilities in control. Some days I am much more comfortable working with graphite because of my familiarity with my tools and I see more in the black and white.  Other days I need color and head for my colored pencils.

I hope you enjoy this flower because I have started another but nothing with as many beautiful colors as this.

To those people that understand living with Essential Tremor is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. I work hours on a small section of my pictures because my hand may decide it wants to make a sharp exit to the right, left, up or down then I have to figure out how to continue with this new “opportunity”. God never sends us on a mission unprepared if we are willing to go.

Thank you and have a blessed day!
